Minesweeper · How to play
Minesweeper turns hidden information into overlapping number clues. Each revealed number describes the mines in its eight neighboring cells.
Controls
Tap to reveal. Right-click or enable Flag mode to mark mines. First reveal is safe.
Rules & goal
- Open a cell to reveal a number or an empty area.
- Numbers count adjacent mines. Use flags to record hazards you have identified.
- Reveal safe cells while avoiding mines. A flag is a note, not proof that a cell contains a mine.
Beginner tips
- Start with clues that have few unopened neighbors and compare overlapping regions.
- Resolve certain moves before making a choice with incomplete information.
